Devon
in a Day is run by Andy and Tracey Beaney and specialises in offering
private tours of South West England to small groups of visitors. We
can take you to Wells, Glastonbury, Stonehenge, Tintagel, Dartmoor,
Exmoor, North Devon, South Devon, The Eden Project, St Ives - in fact,
wherever the fancy takes you! We also offer tours during the Winter
to Bath, Bristol,
Exeter and Plymouth.
If you wish to be collected from London, we are happy to include this
in your tour. We have expert knowledge of London, so you may choose
to include a day's sightseeing in London before you travel south.
So
what are the benefits of using Devon in a Day?
Well,
you will see so much more of the West Country in your day with
us. Think of all the wasted time you spend on your precious holiday
trying to work out routes, getting lost, waiting for trains or buses.
You only have a limited time on holiday, so don't waste it. Leave
the planning to us and you will see much more than you would normally,
in comfort and stress free, on your holiday in the South West.
And
you will have the company of a professional, locally based driver
who in the words of several American clients "goes well beyond
the call of duty". In fact some of our clients have been so pleased

to friends and relations across the USA. And if you want more in depth

And
finally, you will be quoted a flat fee for the use of our services
for a day or for however many days you wish to book. This is an all
encompassing price, which will be charged at the same rate for one
passenger or for 6. So you may wish to get together with friends and
spread the cost - and perhaps book two days instead of one!
We
offer a full 8 hour day touring and our air conditioned Peugeot 807
can carry up to 6 passengers. Please contact us directly for a quote.
We are licensed, by the Government, to carry up to 8 passengers if
necessary, although we would have to pass on the cost of hiring a
larger vehicle to the client. We are fully insured.
Your
private chauffeur on your West Country tour is Andy Beaney,
a retired Scotland Yard detective, with excellent driving
skills, lots of patience and a good sense of humour!

Ciaris
Perry-Bowden studied English
Literature at University College, London, specialising in
Old English and Celtic literature. She also trained as an
actor, classical singer and pianist in London and performs
occasionally while working as a freelance journalist and photographer.
Many of the photographs you can see on our website have been
taken by Ciaris.
One of her main subjects is Devon local history and she has
given talks on historical topics.
